What is it?
Our annual summer camp, Shomria 2021, is a one-week long camp in Victoria for Jewish kids aged 8-18. As a for-youth-by-youth organisation, the entire camp is run by young people, and we pride ourselves on instilling progressive values, compassion, independence and a sense of community within our kids!
This Shomria will be a camp like no other before it! Jam-packed with a diverse range of activities and games that are physically, socially and intellectually stimulating. These few days in January are the perfect opportunity for your child to make friends and memories that they will cherish forever. On camp, Hashy strives to ensure that every kid and leader feels safe and comfortable, but most of all, has a whole lot of fun.
We work towards running programs that delve into a diverse range of topics and issues, as well as providing life long skills and bonds between the chanichim*ot. These skills include: teamwork, leadership and critical thinking while talking about conservation and the future, Hashomer Hatzair, Judaism and autonomy.
The camp is placed in a beautiful area in the North East of Melbourne, near Warrandyte where we will connect to our inner chalutzim*ot, sleep in tents, see some kangaroos and explore our Jewish identity.
EARLY BIRD: Until 19/12
REGULAR PRICE: Until 28/12
LATE FEE: Until 06/01
It is a longstanding Hashy policy that every child should be able to attend camp. We make every endeavour to ensure that no child misses out for financial reasons.
We offer flexible payment plans and subsidies, including for flights for those coming from interstate.

The AZYC believes everybody should be able to get a summer camp experience.
